Jasmine
Jasmine Monkey King has a wonderful perfume and an exquisite, subtle, and light liquor. It is a refreshing all-day or evening drink, and may be enjoyed alone, or makes a good accompaniment to spicy foods and poultry dishes.
Jasmine Pearl is a delight to look at as well as drink Large, beautifully made pearls of pale leaf are bound with jasmine flowers. It is an excellent quality tea and has a wonderful fine flavor. It goes well with savory foods, or it may be enjoyed alone as a soothing digestif.
There are a number of other jasmine teas that are worth trying. Look out for Jasmine Chung Feng, Jasmine Heung Pin, and Jasmine Hubei, which are all green teas. Also, try the lightly fermented Jasmine Pouchong, the semi-fermented Jasmine Mandarin Oolong, the white Jasmine Yin Hao Silver Tip, and, finally, Jasmine Yunnan, which is black.
Litchi
Lizhi Hongcha is a black tea scented with the juices from litchis, one of China's most popular fruits, which give a sharp, almost citric flavor. It may be enjoyed alone at any time of the day or evening.
Orchid
High grade green tea from Guangdong Province is scented with the flowers of the Chloranthus spicatus. It produces a bright red liquor with a rich aroma. This is a refreshing and soothing drink, and is good at any time of day or night. It has an excellent fragrance that carries through to the flavor.
Rose Congou
Meigui Hongcha is a large-leafed black tea scented with rose petals. It produces a light golden liquor with a very gentle, sweet taste, and perfumed aroma. It should be served without milk to accompany light savory and sweet foods, or it may be enjoyed on its own as a refreshing and soothing drink.
Look out also for other China scented teas, including Magnolia, Chrysanthemum, and Osmanthus.
